2026 Full Line

Our plants are bred and selected in the tough conditions of the Midwest with hot humid summers and cold wet winters.

Our goals are simple—improved, durable, ornamental garden plants for our own climate and the rest of the world!

Bred by Brent Horvath

Intrinsic Introductions was born from businesses my parents built after they immigrated from Europe. My father chose the name "Intrinsic" because he felt garden plants should have intrinsic value to the garden.

Today, I breed the plants
they would have grown.

2026 Genetics & Supply Catalog

Introducing 'Bumble Bee King', a hybrid seedling of 'Midnight Oil'. This monarda has the same habit as 'Midnight Oil', but with a little more height. Both monardas are compact, only half the height of 'Jacob Cline'. A key feature is their genetics to clump rather than spread. After about three years, the plant will be a stand measuring about 30 inches in width. This makes both 'Bumble Bee King' and 'Midnight Oil' ideal plants for home gardens.

The catalog also covers the new introductions for 2026, a comprehensive list of input sources, along with photos and descriptions for the full line of perennials, grasses, and sedums.
