'Stars and Stripes'

PPAF

This brightly variegated native bullrush looks very similar to a carex. Thin strap-like leaves, usually around three-eighths of an inch or one centimeter wide have bright yellow centers with some streaking, both gold and green, within the strong green edges. Leaf length is one foot plus. In July butter yellow stems emerge 18 to 24 inches tall with star-like clusters at the tips. Prefers moist soil and full sun to part shade.
