The red inflorescence appears in the beginning of August, one month earlier than most. Stunning against feather reed grass, red grasses, variegated miscanthus, and Joe Pye weed. Full sun; well-drained to moist soil. Deadhead in October to prevent reseeding. Awarded 2010 at ISU Conference in Europe.
