Panicum

'Dust in the Wind'

virgatum

PPAF

Deep green foliage has tips of olive green-to-purple. Unlike many grasses the coloration stays into summer and intensifies with autumn's cool nights. That's when reddish flowers appear on stiff stems up to five feet tall. By this time the bulk of the plant takes on a chalky purple color. By the end, some orange brightens the top. Full sun; most any soil.
